Content marketing. Wine experience brand.

The Project

The Project

Matt Wilkie runs The Wandering Cellar Door, a wine experience brand built on private events, curated degustations and hospitality consultancy. His background spans years in hospitality and environmental science, and the business reflects both disciplines: considered, personal, and built around direct knowledge of wine and food.

Wilkie needed content that matched how he communicates about his work. The brief called for conversational delivery that showed his expertise and his relationship with the winemakers and producers he represents.

The production was scoped to generate enough content in a single session to sustain months of posting across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. The output needed to function as a content pipeline, produced in one shoot.

What We Delivered

What We Delivered

I shot 46 talking head videos during one of Wilkie’s private events. The setting was a live event with real guests, active service and natural atmosphere, which gave the content an energy and context that a controlled studio environment would not have produced.

Each piece was structured as a standalone post. Topics covered wine knowledge, food pairing, the philosophy behind The Wandering Cellar Door and what goes into running a high-quality wine event. Lengths ranged from 15 seconds to over a minute, and every piece was built to hold attention and communicate a single clear idea.

The production was designed to sustain high volume across a single session. Lighting, framing and audio were set at the start so each take could focus on capturing Wilkie in conversation with his audience, across 46 separate pieces, without quality dropping over the course of the shoot.

Why This Project Matters

Why This Project Matters

Posting consistently is a resource problem for most businesses. Content gets produced reactively, one piece at a time and the quality reflects the lack of planning. This project was structured to solve that problem at the production level. One session that generated 46 pieces ready for distribution across four platforms.

Producing 46 videos in one session requires planning the topics in advance, understanding how the client communicates, managing the energy of the shoot so the last take holds the same standard as the first and structuring each piece to work independently.

The result is a content system produced in a single investment of time and budget, with enough material to maintain presence across every major platform for months.
